You might start to notice signs of disease or possibly herbicide damage in your fields. If you're not quite sure what you're looking at, the team at the UNL Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic is ready to help you get to the bottom of it.

This is the 3rd consecutive year for brownheaded ash sawfly in our area. By speaking to homeowners, none of these ash trees are being treated for EAB.
So, while the number of sawfly larvae are astounding, they will not kill your ash. EAB will kill the tree. Protect your ash.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for a live taping of "Backyard Farmer" on the city campus of @UNLincoln.
People can watch the show tonight at 7pm CT on Nebraska Public Media. #NebExt
Don’t forget to scratch the lesions (maybe with some spit…)! Most of the lesions I looked at were bug💩, but the last was tar spot. Apologies for the less-than-great picture of phialides streaming from the stromata
Thank you to Amany and Shilu for being our first student volunteers for the plant pathology booth (@UNLPlantClinic) at the farmers market this year ☺️. We will be back at East Campus during Discovery Days on June 10th with @brode182 and new volunteers!

@ToddClaussen Mind sending a sample to @UNLPlantClinic for confirmation? Tar spot testing is free and we’re really trying to get a sense of how far it is across the state.
These flowers have flowers! #AsterYellows is a common disease that results in abnormal growth. Who knew a trip to the Vital Records office would be so exciting…
