The Governor of Manipur today reviewed the progress of the ongoing Indo-Myanmar border fencing works at a meeting held at Lok Bhavan, Imphal. The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, Security Advisor, DGP, Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioner (Home), and officers of the Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) and Assam Rifles. Officials from Churachandpur, Chandel, Kamjong, Tengnoupal and Ukhrul districts joined the meeting virtually.

Col. Dev, Commanding Officer, 25 BRTF, presented a detailed update on the progress of the fencing works.

The book *Your AI Upgrade* authored by Shri Amit Prasad, IFA (BR), was launched on 16 October 2026 at HQ DGBR, New Delhi, in the presence of Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, IAS, Defence Secretary; Shri Anil Malik, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development; Shri Vishvajit Sahay, IDAS, Secretary (Defence Finance); and Lt Gen Harpal Singh, DGBR. The Defence Secretary has penned the foreword to the book.

The book explores how AI can enhance critical thinking, understanding, creativity and decision-making, emphasising that technology should develop human capabilities rather than merely provide ready-made answers.

While speaking on the occasion, the Defence Secretary highlighted the importance of human judgement, accountability and safeguarding sensitive information in Government and Defence organisations. The author emphasised that while AI can assist us, responsibility for its outputs rests with the user.

BRO schools in remote border areas nurture young minds by caring for their health and well-being alongside education. Upholding the spirit of *“पढ़ेगा इंडिया, तभी तो बढ़ेगा इंडिया”,* Project Pushpak@BRO organised a preventive health check-up camp for primary school children in Mizoram.

*A total of 172 children benefited* from health screening to assess their growth, nutritional status, vision and dental health. Children requiring further medical attention were identified and provided referrals and follow-up advice.

Through such initiatives, BRO remains committed to nurturing healthier children and a brighter future.

When altitude and terrain challenge progress, precision, planning and initiative pave the way. In close coordination with the Indian Air Force (IAF), critical construction equipment was airlifted to an inaccessible high-altitude region, enabling machinery deployment and opening a new attack point for strategic road construction.

Through seamless coordination and simultaneous operations at multiple attack points, 765 BRTF, Project Hirak@BRO, is accelerating construction and strengthening strategic connectivity in some of the toughest terrain.

On the occasion of #NationalVoluntaryBloodDonationDay, Project Arunank, in collaboration with the District Health Society, organised a Blood Donation Camp at Tadak Dulom District Hospital, Daporijo.

31 BRO personnel from Project Arunak voluntarily donated blood, extending the spirit of service beyond roads and infrastructure.
