- only the paranoid survive (grove)
- amp it up (slootman)
- hard thing about hard things (horowitz)
- score takes care of itself (walsh)
- zero to one (thiel)
- skin in the game (taleb, not really business book but can make it into one)
- alchemy (rory)
- confessions of an advertising man (ogilvy)
- what you do is who you are (horowitz)

bonus:

- beginning of infinity (deutsch), which really everyone should read several times per year
- biographies of other business people

skip anything by grant, sinek, greene, maxwell or gladwell

I think consensus trades are the best trades to pick up in a bear market.

The most consensus trade by a mile is $HYPE. Everyone has been vocal about wanting to pick it up around $10–15.

With consensus trades, you usually have to front-run the obvious bids, because everyone wants to bid the same levels.

Why are consensus trades so good in a bear market?

Because everyone is already in it. Everyone is shilling it everywhere. And when retail comes back like they always do, that trade becomes the so called main character trade.

And those who aren’t in yet, who wanted to bid lower, often end up buying higher instead.

This is exactly what caused the Solana run in 2024. A lot of people picked up bags between $10–20 and shilled it like no tomorrow.

Solana became the main character trade of the cycle.

Hyperliquid feels like the obvious Solana 2.0 trade.
