BREAKING: According to HK01, Beijing will announce sweeping new national-security protocols on #HongKong as early as tonight by listing it under the Basic Law's Annex III — which allows the territory to enforce Chinese laws — thus avoiding the local lawmaking process.
If this turns out to be true, it would be tantamount to a declaration of war on #HK. This is rule by tyrannical decree: it would bypass any legislative process whatsoever in HK. It would be a sign of just how afraid the #CCP is of losing control of HK.
