While it is important, and I do understand to never try to raise wildlife yourself, (believe me I've had the chance) every one in a million, you get an incredible story like her's. The facts are she's happy and healthy where she is.

I'm not encouraging keeping a coyote. my only argument is she's special.

The respect and bond they share is unique. life in a sanctuary wouldn't be much better, she'd be always safe sure, but she'd be in an enclosure, instead of Tim's large wooded property to move about as she pleases.

@theclergycat @skeimby @Delta_Coyote27 there's no confirmation of Weave's siblings death being a cause of human acclimation. coyotes are always targets, even regular pets are shot by hunters, ranchers or even just malicious neighbors. Weave's been alive for again, years. Tim has raised and save other orphans too.

@theclergycat @skeimby @Delta_Coyote27 a sanctuary would have given the same survival odds she has now, human contact and bottle feeding, cars, guns, other coyotes, the wild isn't kind to orphaned pups. she doesn't need "specialty care", she's an outlier case of rare circumstance, not a model for common behavior.

Weave has disappeared for weeks at a time and returned healthy or with animal scraps/bones so she's clearly able to function in the wild. the fact that she's tame with him and his wife/pets does not change her behavior as a coyote, -
