In this new year, I've decided that I need to take care of myself better and identify better with my hobbies rather than my work. My job is not who I am. It's not who any of us are. We deserve time to experience the other things we love to do. I challenge you to try the same.

Following the holiday break, I began exercising immediately when I get home from work and have also devoted a max of one hour per day to do work related things in the evening. I can't tell you how great a change that has had on my mindset and health in just one week.

Let’s stop telling teachers to do yoga and meditate (UNLESS that’s what they want and choose to do). Instead, let’s advocate for making teaching a sustainable career!

This year has been tough at the start. I can't sugarcoat that, but I still cherish getting to work with my students every day, no matter the medium that the teaching is taking place. As much as we may struggle at times, our students are struggling too. Let's help them. #TeachThem
