We are very happy to see that Wetherspoons have restored and re-instated the clock at the Golden Cross. The pub (then a hotel) was rebuilt in 1932 for Mitchells and Butlers. It was designed by Johnson and Watson of Birmingham and built by J & A Brazier. It re-opened in April 1933

The first " Coffee and Cake " of the New Season is tomorrow at 10.30.a.m in St John's Church, Bromsgrove and the @FriendsStJohns have an Open Day also - the Tower is open and you can have a go on the Organ !! A good way to spend Saturday.

This morning, a bench was unveiled in the churchyard in memory of Hilary and Margaret Rice, who were lifelong members of St John's Church.

The bench will be a place to sit and reflect, with a wonderful view of the church, the green churchyard and the lime trees.
