-Beat Rams 30-26, overcoming 16-0 halftime deficit

-Sean Payton: “Obviously a gutsy win... the halves couldn’t have been more different”

-SP: “Moments aren’t too big” for Bo Nix

-SP: Talanoa Hufanga’s pick six was “the play” of the game

-Hufanga, Greg Penner, Carrie Walton-Penner & Rob Walton got game balls

-SP: “I’m comfortable with the grit of a team that can play well in the fourth quarter. I’m uncomfortable with how we play at the start of games”

Takeaways from the #Broncos win over the Rams:

• Another Jekyll and Hyde performance where this team was largely incompetent in the first half and absolutely electric in the second. Props to them for pulling it out, and for Bo Nix adding another come-from-behind victory to his growing resume.

• That being said, Denver cannot continue taking the first two quarters off before turning it on. This is a Super Bowl contender if they play all 60 minutes. Gotta lock in from the opening kick.

• For ONCE, the Broncos benefited from the officiating and their opponent melting down in crunch time. But again, the goal is for it NOT to get to this point. Our collective hearts would appreciate it.

• Davis Webb is gonna draw some criticism for the early struggles, but some of his concepts were very advantageous against the Rams. Just like with a young QB, every game is an important learning experience.

• The Broncos obviously missed Jonah Coleman. Sucks that he’s still out another three games. Sucks.

• I also have my doubts as to how effective Dobbins will be this season. Worried the injuries have mounted and sapped some of his explosiveness. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

• In fairness to J.K., the run blocking was … not perfect. Remains a work in progress, the line not generating enough push at the point of attack.

• Riley Moss is public enemy number one in Broncos Country. He is who he is, and it’s better to just accept it: a CB2 that can help you as much as hurt you. Most weeks the former outweighs the latter. It didn’t tonight. (Although PS2 also got got a few times.)

• Public enemy number one to me is Alex Singleton. Sorry to his agent in advance, but he’s BY FAR the weakest link on defense — and perhaps the entire roster. He’s actively regressing in coverage by the week. It’s honestly brutal.

• The Broncos have one of the best safety tandems in the NFL. Hufanga is All-Pro caliber (especially now that he can catch) and I thought Brandon Jones had an excellent game.

• I love watching Zach Allen play football. Legitimately one of the greatest free-agent signings in modern franchise history.

• A win is a win is a win. Never apologize for them. Ever. It doesn’t matter how the sausage is made so long as it’s delectable. Huge, momentum-building dub no matter how you slice it. And who knows, we might just see the Rams again down the road …
