Once again I go to Circular Quay only to find it ls littered with all sorts of rubbish. I am heartedly sick of the filthy state of this very busy tourist area. The City council and Mayor should be ashamed. I sympathise with the homeless but one couple have built almost a home.

I cannot understand why the suicide rate is so high. I joined the RN in 1956 as a 25yo boy. Our training was rigorous and disciplined. Yes, we did have the occasional suicide, 1 in my first year. This was amongst 2000 boys. I only recall a couple more in my 40 year service.
