@BradMBradford Hey @BradMBradford are you going to say anything in today’s meeting? We are all waiting and watching for what you will do? Will you support defunding Toronto Police Service to create safer communities?

@BradMBradford Instead of reprimanding people for not staying apart, let’s give them the tools to do so (ie the social distancing circles placed in Trinity Bellwood’s). Policing and punishing people has far too long been the solution to every problem.

@BradMBradford Members of your community have expressed their concern with the impact police have on our community and are calling for defunding police. There is a crucial vote on Monday and this is a clear example of yes a problem, but one police officers should not be in charge of solving.

@BradMBradford I fear you will see this statement as your excuse not to communicate with us, that you have appeased us and can continue on as normal. We are asking you to move beyond "reforms" and move into making real substantive change that will actually make safer communities for everyone.

@BradMBradford These are nice words, but what they are not is a commitment to action or real change. Change that we, the people you represent, are asking for. You have not committed to defunding the police, even the symbolic 10% gesture put forward by Matlow that is not at all enough.

@BradMBradford Hi Brad-I am also concerned with road safety but I am more concerned with where you stand on defunding the Toronto Police Services. How will you be voting? Will you work to make a safer community for all? Will you make addressing systemic racism in Toronto a priority at council?

I’ve been using various channels asking for your stance on abolishing, defunding and redirecting the funds of the TPS to vital sevices better equipped to address our City’s issues.
