I also stared in amazement - where were the unflavoured, unprocessed, natural raw ingredients I wanted to cook with? Unthickened, unflavoured cream. Couscous that is just couscous.

@Selene_Mariposa @Johnnycesartist I find American supermarkets fascinating, but I could never what I want. Cream minus additives, unflavoured couscous, lean meat. Potatoes with names other than “red” and “white”. Aisles and aisles of “soda” and packet food, but very few raw materials.
