@gio1ace Worst thing about this WC being over there is we have to see more goons who understand little or nothing of the sport make dumb statements about how they’d win if they only cared.
@TimothyJ_23@whits106 I agree with your post Tim except to say how do we know it never impacted his officiating. He owed massive money and it’s very easy to bet under another name or be influenced to do something to compromise a game when under that sort of financial pressure. The optics are awful.
@antonposa@sandylanceley The wrongdoing is compromising himself, referees and officials in most professional sports are not allowed to bet on sports at all for very good reasons. This is at best horrendous optics at worst incompetence from the NRL not to remove a compromised official until clean.
@CBB1934 Burton again showed yesterday he isn’t a first grade 6, the play dies with him far too often. Being run-first is fine if you have the awareness to know when to spread the ball to your edge players. Burton clearly doesn’t have that awareness and constantly just takes a hit up.
@palejawsh Purdue I’d argue is in better form and can cover 1-6 if needed, unless Ponga gets hurt Walsh doesn’t provide any additional cover. Would be ridiculous to expect Ponga or Walsh to play 6 or 7 at this level.
@woodward_curtis Talented but makes a ridiculous amount of errors trying to constantly make the hero play. When it comes off it’s awesome but often he just hands the ball over doing something that has a small chance of actually working.
@FPLfrasier You clearly don’t understand the fundamental meaning of an “option to buy” they are obligated to do nothing. If they do not believe he is worth the agreed option price there is nothing stopping them from negotiating a different position.
@_Braizen Just look at Wemby’s on/off splits for the series, he is by far the most valuable player to any team in the league. FTR OKC lost the minutes Shai played in the series by 39 across the 7 games.
@cbb_george Burton is such a terrible passer as a 5/8, either just tucks and runs himself or hits the short backrower. The only times he gets it to the outside guys it’s way too late and the defence is up in their space. He does some things really well but sucks at getting backs involved.
@Huss44693@MWSE_Bills Feel like a lot of Jason’s issues are caused by having Garrick inside him. Rarely passes it to him and when he finally does he’s marked and has no room to work with and gets bundled into touch.
@bondiroosters@SmokinJo21 If I was as incompetent at my job including not heeding direct advice from a colleague who had a better perspective of a very important incident I’d be out of a job or demoted. They have a hard job but they cannot be immune to criticism when they screw up that badly.
@centralNRL No mitigating factors 😂, Koula falls quickly and its head to head contact first. No one would argue this decision if similar weee regularly being sent off but they are not. All we want is consistent application of the rules.
@ReshadRahman Exactly the type of player Flick wants for this team, will provide options across the front three and also potentially allows Raphina to spend more time centrally. His pressing and fitness will be a massive benefit to the teams ability to win the ball back quickly.
