🚨 I HAVE MY NAME IN PRINT! 🚨 So excited to say that I wrote some bits in this weeks @new_magazine 🥹. Seeing my name in print was big career goal of mine and to have it so early in my career blows my mind. A dream come true 🥲
The government's welfare Bill is a cruel and disgusting attack on disabled people and their right to live in dignity.
MPs should ask themselves: did you become an MP so you could push thousands of disabled people into poverty?
British lawmakers have voted to decriminalise abortion in England & Wales.
This comes after a lawmaker argued that it was cruel to prosecute someone for ending their pregnancy.
Hi #journalism twitter. Does anyone know of publications/companies that will make adaptions/be accommodating when it comes to disability and needing to work remotely? I know I’m qualified and a good fit for so many opportunities and an asset, but I’m not being given a chance.
I know others are also struggling to get work right now because the job market is in shambles and journalism isn’t doing too great either, but having that extra barrier is really, really shit.
Adolescence really leans into the normality of it all. The mum and dad are so normal, it's a normal, average high school. The kid is someone who could be in your son or daughter's class. It is so brilliantly undramatic and that's what makes it so brilliant.
£6 billion in cuts to welfare & disability benefits that will push 700,000 into poverty — instead of taxing the super-rich.
Spending on weapons of destruction — instead of helping the world’s poorest.
These political choices are cruel.
This isn’t the “change” people voted for.
