my commentary made the news today!
really big moment for me as building my expertise + sharing my opinion within the evolving DEI space is extremely important to me. there’s work to be done to meaningfully include equity-deserving groups, with Black folks being highlighted here
I love Valentine’s Day so much. Even though I’m not in a romantic relationship, I’ve spent the day thinking of all the love I have in my life. And how lucky I am to be able to give love freely, and receive it from those who cherish me.
So, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to everyone 💕💕
@raijohnson_ I feel this + have felt this + will feel this again soon. what you’re saying is so valid and as a fellow DEI professional, I don’t have the solution for this yet
what I can offer is these words from Nick Alm, they offer me comfort + hope on many low days https://t.co/l3K6ZAlHWW
Mmmmmkay so while I do appreciate this mild Toronto January weather, it’s been days and days without sun. I don’t remember when the sun was out last, and it’s truly ruining my whole energy. Please, we need some sun. My soul hurts.
@brooketheg @DrBlackDeer "if the goal of DEI is organizational change in terms of decolonization, queer liberation, accessibility and human-first ways of working then we need more people doing this work, not just corporate DEI consultants"
this needs to be a BIG bumper sticker!
@DrBlackDeer as you should!! if the goal of DEI is organizational change in terms of decolonization, queer liberation, accessibility and human-first ways of working then we need more people doing this work, not just corporate DEI consultants
I work in-house now but always open to share rates!
when i got jury duty i rlly rlly wanted to be on a jury
during voir dire i tried to answer everything SUPER thoughtfully so when they asked if i could be objective about a certain issue, i said “i do, to the extent that objectivity exists”
they kicked me out IMMEDIATELY
since so many people in these comments don’t care about human decency, fact: it’s usually more economical to be inclusive
instead of theatres paying for these devices (cost is likely passed down to customers = more expensive movie tix), save $$$ + just have CC on all screens
I don’t understand why deaf people should have to choose between having a drink and watching a movie. We are in 2022. All movies should be accessible at this point. Put the CC on the screen so all viewers can enjoy.
well that was a fun 2 episodes!! I lose interest in reality tv really easily if I’m watching by myself so I just asked my best friend to give me the sparknotes version of the rest of the season 😌
