MOOSELAND WILDFIRE UPDATE 5

The Department of Natural Resources has updated the estimated size of the Mooseland Wildfire to 1,386 hectares following more accurate mapping of the fire. The wildfire remains out of control.

Our members continue assisting the Department of Natural Resources with suppression efforts. Firefighters remain actively engaged on the fire line while ensuring emergency response coverage continues throughout Halifax Regional Municipality.

As this incident transitions into a sustained wildfire response, this will be our final scheduled update unless conditions change or there are significant developments affecting our members or the public.

For the latest information on the wildfire, please follow the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Emergency Management Office.

Our members will continue working alongside our emergency service partners for as long as needed.
