Once upon a classroom I guarded grades from kids.
Now I guard kids from grades.
I discovered the lie in my loyalty, so I changed where my loyalty lies.
And I guard that gate with everything I have.

In #edtech, we are often asked if we have apps for teachers to monitor student activity on their devices. While those things do exist, the MOST IMPORTANT way to manage student activity is you, the TEACHER. Apps can't provide the rigor, expertise, and relationships that you do.
In the midst of our unmatched plans, we can grow weary as we wait to see what the Lord has in store for us.
Here are a few reminders for our hearts when God’s plan is different than ours:
God is trustworthy…
God is in control…
God is able…
God is always at work...
I’d like to invite any of you, man or woman, within driving distance of Houston to come & join us tomorrow night for a special edition Invited. I’m not teaching a regular Bible lesson. I’ll speak specifically on developing compassion for the sexually abused & its role in healing.
“We need to teach our children to read and to enjoy reading. We need libraries. We need books. We need literate citizens.” We could not agree more with @neilhimself and @chrisriddell50 that all children have the right to read for pleasure. #RightsToRead https://t.co/vwSKovQoWf
Agree so, so, so much! I have never left a classroom and thought that even the highest tech wowed me as much as an in-tune teacher/lesson that engaged my mind, soul, my heart. Keep pushing forward teachers!
TRANSITION BOOKS 📒
In June I prepare a book (using Google Slides) to help support new students as they transition to my class in September!

This refugee couple fleeing violence, murder and rape by rebels in central Africa asked me to take their picture. After I did as they asked, they said “Now you cannot forget us...” I never have. Praying for the hundreds of thousands just like them. #WorldRefugeeDay
When kids cheat on assignments it is because they have been taught that grades outweigh the importance of knowing things. We need to fix this. #CodeBreaker
