Very niche tweet but i really appreciated the conclusion of emma chamberlain's latest podcast episode. it basically concluded that ur gonna be cringey no matter what you do, so you might as well be cringey in a good way (being urself) than cringey for being fake
Finally accepting that it’s ok that I have 0 spatial awareness and common sense cuz it means I have a rich inner life in my end going on 24/7. And honestly, people with those traits are usually boring af and no one thinks they’re interesting 🫢
I feel like sometimes you can just tell if someone is a Highly Sensitive Person (hsp) just by how they talk. It always makes me think “ayy we’re the same, let’s be friends”
I personally hate the saying “it is what it is” for some reason but I love saying to myself “what are you gonna do about it” when I know I’m about to overthink something
Things that are cringe for adults to do:
1. Still use Snapchat, especially if you still have streaks
2. Still feels mentally 17 at 23+ years old (grow up)
3. Obsessed w a one night stand (move on)
4. Easily influenced by trends (be original)
Women are the ones who have control over ending hookup culture. Men will never say no to a hookup (generally speaking), but we can choose to raise the standards and men will have to meet those standards
I'm just gonna say it, one of the main reasons why men dont commit anymore is because of hookup culture. Before you could only get sex in a relationship, but now that you can get it w/o putting in effort, men will be more picky about who they choose to settle down with
i'm seeing all these posts from girls saying they miss chivalry and being pursued as a romantic interest rather than being stuck in situationships over again. unfortunately the only way to go back to that imo is to get rid of hookup culture all together but i doubt it'll happen
This revelation was inspired by an interview with @TheOmniLiberal and @HealthyGamerGG where destiny admits that his parents left him alone growing up which he eventually learned to accept and became detached as a result
I’m convinced that people who lean avoidant in their attachment style are the best at debates because they were forced to shut down their own emotional needs and accept the hard cold reality of things. Separating your emotions from objective truth is necessary in debate
