Today, the Obama Presidential Library officially opens to the public.
I created this drawing of President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and had the honor of presenting it to President Obama through Washington Governor Jay Inslee.
What I never expected was that the artwork would become part of the permanent Obama Presidential Library collection, where it now resides in the National Archives.
As an artist who started with a pencil and a dream, it’s hard to put into words what that means.
Grateful for the journey, the opportunities, and everyone who has supported my work along the way.
It’s pretty incredible to think that a pencil drawing created in my studio would become part of presidential history.

When we had a REAL President, he negotiated the JCPOA, superior to trump's disaster Iran deal in every way, "from a position of strength and principle."
And he told the American people about the details, instead of running and hiding.
Didn't even cost ONE American life.
Today in Chicago, @BarackObama and @MichelleObama reminded Americans how we can be our best as a country, just as they did during their eight years in the White House.
It was a great honor to participate in today’s opening for the Obama Presidential Center, whose purpose of empowering people to make positive change is timely and needed.
Michelle Obama: Barack, you told me years ago that you couldn't promise me the world but you could promise me an interesting life. You outdid yourself and managed to give me both. You revealed your true self with your stubborn optimism, dazzling brilliance & unflinching courage.

Dear younger voters who went for Trump in ‘24, watch the speeches of Prez & Michelle Obama & Mamdani today then compare it to Trump speaking at the White House this afternoon. Ask yourself what kinda world you wanna live in & what real leadership looks like. Then get involved.
To George and Laura, Bill and Hillary — we're grateful for your friendship, counsel, and devotion to this country. And to Joe and Jill, thank you for being on this journey with us.
Michelle Obama: We simply don't have the luxury or time to be cynical or complacent, to wring our hands in despair, or to wait for someone else to fix the problem. Hope is all we have, because hope is the essential spark that lights the fire of change. But hope is a choice. Whether or not we use our voices to speak up is a choice. Voting is a choice. Being a decent human being is a choice. Believing that we still hold the power to build a country that reflects us all is a choice.
