Friendly reminder: colonoscopy’s are thankfully not filmed with IMAX cameras. It all happens during a refreshing nap and they even give you a lil’ juice box afterward. Despite it being among the easiest cancers to prevent, I have two friends who aren’t here anymore. But should be. Indigenous and Black communities have the highest rates of colorectal cancer in the US. And men are 1.5 times more likely to experience this than women. @CCAlliance
#DallasCowboys quarterback @Dak Prescott opens up to @CraigMelvin about urging people to get screened for colorectal cancer with a new public service announcement with @LeadFromBehind.
I urge @ACPIMPhysicians to reconsider its recent #CRCscreening guidelines and maintain screening at age 45 for those at average risk. The new guidelines are confusing and a major step back for CRC prevention.
Ryan Reynolds, a lost bet, and a colonoscopy. Hear how @LeadFromBehind’s new campaign is raising awareness of the importance of colon cancer screenings among younger adults.

I predict Ryan Reynolds sharing his colonoscopy (and polyp) will do more for colorectal cancer awareness than half of anything we’ve tried as a GI profession…
…and I’m grateful for every second of it 🥹💙

@nbsdave@washingtonpost Polyps are only found in 28-37% in people age 45-50. Colon cancer is caused by a polyp so you wanna get those things out. Most people don’t realize this, which is why it’s news.
@therealcliffyb Thanks Cliff! Colon cancer is one of the few cancers that can be actually prevented with a procedure alone. Most people have no idea that colonoscopies actually keep you from getting it rather than just telling you if you have it already. #LeadFromBehind
