This new year i shall be continuing my tour of the castles of the United Kingdom
For each castle i visit i will donate £10 to Ukraine.
Started last year but will actually post up where i visit and a brief review of the castle. Mainly going to be focusing on Wales this year.

Tonight the Palace of Westminster is illuminated in the colours of the Ukrainian flag to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day and show Parliament’s support for the people of Ukraine.

The UK will experience a partial solar eclipse on Wednesday 12 August.

The extent of the Sun's coverage and the timing of maximum obscuration will differ across the country.

Never look directly at the sun; use a pinhole projector or certified eclipse glasses to view it.

🔥⚓️BREAKING: Ukraine’s Navy sank the Russian FSB border guard ship Izumrud near Novorossiysk with a Sargan-3000 unmanned combat system.

The ship was a 2nd-rank border patrol vessel with a helipad, launched in 2014, measuring 62.5 meters long and displacing around 630 to 750 tons.

The sinking of Izumrud is highly symbolic for Ukraine: the ship took part in Russia’s attack on Ukrainian Navy vessels in the Kerch Strait on November 25, 2018.

KRONSTADT (St. Petersburg), June 3.
Birds of the @1usc_army, @usf_army hunted down and set ablaze the corvette Boikiy, a guided missile weapons carrier.

06:35, 03.06.26. Veleshchynskyi Dry Dock, Kronstadt (St. Petersburg) – the cradle of the russian Navy.

Tired after its voyages, the Boikiy entered scheduled maintenance in February 2026.

Project 20380 corvette Boikiy – the third corvette of the Baltic Fleet. Fairly new, untouched until now: launched in 2011, commissioned in 2013.

It built a colorful record of adventures along NATO borders, escorted the worms’ shadow oil fleet, a hardworking little vessel.

Perhaps best remembered for its triumphant collision with the research vessel Admiral Vladimirskiy.

The corvette was deflowered by Birds of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

And how did it go back in 1921, during the brutally suppressed Kronstadt sailors’ uprising?
“Power to the Soviets, not to the Party!”
Metaphorical, perhaps. Symbolic, certainly – a slap across the face of a dictatorship.

And increasingly, a pattern.
