Looking for a place to donate supplies to the survivors of the earthquake in Venezuela? Look for these signs at select County parks and libraries. ⬇️

Items needed include non-perishable foods, personal hygiene products, baby items, and pet supplies. Critical gear is also needed for responders including tents, tarps, sleeping bags, first aid kits, solar powered lights, batteries, and work gloves. Clothing or linens will NOT be accepted.

Pets and fireworks don't mix! 🎆 Many dogs and cats are terrified of fireworks and will try to escape from the noise however they can.

You can protect your pet by following these safety tips:​
- Lock all doors, windows, and gates
- Close your blinds to block the flashing lights
- Turn on the TV or play soothing music to drown out the loud booms
- Don't take your pets to crowded firework displays
- Give them their favorite toys and long-lasting treats to distract them
- Walk your dog well before the sun sets to avoid loud surprises
- Ask your vet about calming aids if your pet has severe anxiety

County offices will be closed today, Friday, July 3rd, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Many online services will be available at https://t.co/qWosN3iyK8.​

@BrowardTransit will operate a will operate a regular weekday service schedule on Friday, but will operate on a Sunday holiday service schedule on Saturday, July 4th.

All @BrowardParks will be open on July 3rd, except the After-School Program offered at neighborhood parks. On July 4th, all parks will be open except the Marine Environmental Education Center. Markham Target Range will be open from 8 AM to 1 PM.

💰The regional park holiday gate fee has been waived on Saturday, July 4th by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners in recognition Parks & Recreation Month!
