A Muslim girl trying to complete the impossible task of finding a Mister. Searching for love in a hopeless place...and I may have found it ๐ฑ Now ๐๐ฐ๐ป
had a baby boy last month! The whole process gave me a terrible infection and put me in the icu. Baby was in nicu. We were separated for weeks. Alhumdulillah, weโre together at home now and doing relatively well in between feeds and sleep. Counting blessings everyday ๐ช๐ผ
@MustyRash Am only 10 days late bro. Also, with the pandemic and lockdown I have no sense of time passing. Not sure what the date is half the time ๐ต๐ผ
Hi everyone, just checking in. Passed my 1 year wedding ani last month. This thread is pretty accurate, though we were never extreme in throwing things ๐
Let me tell teach you something about marriage.

Once during a massive argument over the laundry, my wife took the overpriced diamond engagement ring I bought her and threw it in my face like it was cheap Wood Green Market Hall NYC jewellery? Was she mad?โฃ

@cantwedwontwed change your preferences? That doesn't change easily. Though I was interested in the bald look until my younger bro went bald prematurely and now it's no thanks. Hubs has a nice head full of hair ๐
@cantwedwontwed this happened to me years ago (like 5-6 years ago), and he kept checking-in for YEARS to see if I was single and wanted to get married. To make things messier, he and hubs know each other from when they were uni and there's bad blood there. The guy STILL checks all my statuses
@batabeelo I think it's interesting that although she thinks she's the attractive one, her gut reaction was that he was calling her old and ugly. Come on. After a year, she should have a better understanding of her guy and how he is, I doubt he's that rude and mean๐๐ฉ
Just checking in...what a difference a month makes! Feeling like I'm in a much better place with the hubs and our relationship. Self isolating is hard. Hubs is better too as he's returning to some of his previous activities and finding purpose in that. Alhumdulillah.
I find my tweets to be very disjointed sometimes...like there are a thousand words and a thousand emotions hidden in each sentence in a tweet. Alas, I cannot capture all those thousands of things...so I just capture some of them to look back on
In the desi community, no one really talks about what comes after the wedding and I don't really care for the self-sacrificing BS women are expected to do. Both partners should be willing to put the work in. Anyway. I'm feeling much better and practicing a lot of gratitude and๐
@SXME95 inshallah, thank you. Hope all my twitter gals (and guys) find love, sakoon, and mercy in their marriages. And keep going even when things get hard or annoying ๐
You think you can get to know someone before getting married but you're wrong. This pandemic has been trying and revealing. You only know someone if you've self-isolated with them for 50 days. You learn the good, the bad, the ugly, and the terrible about yourself and your partner
if you want the ugliest of truths I have discovered about myself: I'm not sure if I'd gone down the same path with some of things I know now. I doubt there's any wisdom in thinking this as I'm already here with him. So far, balance is tipped toward the good most days ๐
@cantwedwontwed lmao, you're too cute. Alhumdulillah I'm still married, yes! haha, I appreciate the duas. I have actually prayed for my twitter peeps too ๐
