A skeptic and secular humanist. I have been teaching in an inner-London primary school for 28 years. I have no time for Tories. Neighbours fan! (She/her)
amazing to think we likely won't see another simultaneous lent, chinese new year, ramadan and disgraced member of the british royal family being arrested in our lifetime
Gary Lineker: Genocide is bad.
The right: Stick to football.
Jim Ratcliffe: The UK is being colonised, and I don't pay personal income tax here.
The right: Yaay, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Man of the people. True patriot.

Let's make 2026 the year that we have a full investigation into:

Driving the same car for over 10 years is normal.
Using the same phone until it breaks and packs up is normal.
Taking food to work everyday is absolutely normal.
Repeating the same clothes and shoes is very normal.
Saying no to things you can’t afford is very normal.
Be normal.
Do we sometimes over-complicate reading for pleasure in schools? Give pupils access to an exciting and diverse range of reading material. Prioritise time during the school day for reading, both individually and as a class. Ensure there's time for quality book talk. It works.
It's ridiculous to pretend to be shocked that Farage is a massive racist.
Stories about his racist youth have been long known, and he has had an incredibly racist career.
He is the racist leader of a racist party, which constantly says racist things and has racist policies.
Zia Zusuf is on #BBCLauraK yet again. This is getting bloody ridiculous. Where are the representations from other parties. The BBC bias is out of control.
i finally did it: someone was talking on the phone with loud speaker sitting close to me while we were inside the bus.
so I joined the conversation with full confidence. when she gave me that “are you mad?” look, I said, “sorry,I thought it was a group call since you put it on loudspeaker for all of us.”
she quietly told the person, “I’ll call you back,” and ended the call immediately. 🙂
@SwailesRuth Yes! I thought I was going mad when it said a child I’d done the Maths with hadn’t started the assessments! The whole thing has been ridiculous.
Too many people dismiss the possibility of reform winning the next GE, despite all polling evidence.
The same people didn't think Brexit would happen, or that trump would win again.
Burying our heads in the sand gets us nowhere. We need to face this challenge head on.
