At my heaviest, I was over 200lbs. I usually weighed btw 185/195, convincing myself it was fine.

In the last few years, I got more serious about nutrition bc of @browngrlsgarden 👩🏾‍🌾 and I got honest about my inner vanity when it comes to my wedding dress and pics 🤷🏾‍♀️ I’m 135 now!

Similarly, we need our tomatoes to stay upright! Many tomato varieties are also technically vining plants, so we need to keep them standing with bamboo sticks + zip ties. That’s a strong yet very economical combo to get it done! 💪🏾

Our biggest priority is expanding grow capacity. We need to grow UPWARDS and keep vining plants like cucumbers off the ground so they can maximize production. 🌱

My biggest dream is for my community garden to feel like a very lush, very productive “garden of Eden” with fruit and veggies growing everywhere in a sort of organized chaos where every direction you look — up, down, all around — there is an abundance of things to pick and eat.

Community and school level grants are taking a huge hit in this administration, so please give where you can given all that’s going on with our food supply. There’s a huge need! 👩🏾‍🌾

I go outside daily to grow free food for families who legitimately ARE struggling to afford basic fresh foods. I work with food drives and other community partners, and I also run a free community garden with a Pre-K gardening and nutrition program!
