Andy Burnham has halted the Nationalisation of Thames Water.

As the law currently stands Water Companies need a Water License to be able to sell you Water.

Almost all of them have broken pollution laws, their licenses could be revoked today because of that.

Then they would be unable to charge you.

Then Nationalised for free.

It sometimes beggars belief how stupid supposedly clever people can be. The American VC funds now running Thames Water are trumpeting the former CEO of Yorkshire Water as the saviour of the company.

Really? During and following Liz Barber's spell as CEO of Yorkshire Water the company has,

* "loaned" £940 million, of bill payers money I suspect, to the company's Hong Kong owners, without telling the regulator.

* Is now in such financial peril that it is on Ofwat's "Enhanced concern", list.

* Is £7.5 billion in debt.

* Is putting up customers bills by 41%.

* Leaks about 98 billion litres of water per year.

* Was fined £40 million last year for illegally dumping sewage.

* And since 2020 has spent a total of 2,459,367 hours dumping sewage into our rivers and onto our beaches.

* Oh and Liz was paid £1.3 million the last year she worked for the company.

And all of that is supposed to make us feel better but Thames Water?

Crows are incredibly clever. This one figured out how to turn a tap on to get water and even remembered to turn it off afterwards. Their ability to learn, remember, and repeat useful behaviours is amazing
