Thank you to Debasree Banerjee, MD from @BrownPCCSM for giving the first talk in the @HarvardPulm Health Disparities Speaker Series! Dr. Banerjee gave a broad overview of the history of racism in medicine and a framework to think critically about and engage in social justice.
Great talk this afternoon by Dr @amal_trivedi @Brown_SPH about how quality improvement efforts can address OR worsen health disparities for @BrownPCCSM - he found that regardless of race/ethnicity, patients who received care in majority-Black hospitals had worse sepsis outcomes
