1. So what exactly do these IMF Country Directors want from the Ndc anytime we are in Govt?

2. I have observed rather disconcertingly, the alacrity with which the IMF criticizes an Ndc-Govt in respect of matters that they’ll actually facilitate for an Npp-Govt to implement.

3. Two quick major examples will suffice: Messrs Peter Mac Manu and Hackman Owusu Agyemang were Board Chairs of GPHA and Cocobod respectively under the Nana Akuffo Addo regime.

3. Obviously, the IMF didn’t know this and of course, didn’t also the political coloration nor rank of these men who led GOHA & Cocobod Boards at the time.

4. I wish to assure the IMF-Ghana Country officers that, I can produce a full list of NPP Snr Ranks & MPs who served on every Board of every SOE within 2017 and 2024. I can also do so from 2001 to 2008.

5. Mr IMF Country Director, by your tainted GoldBod report a couple of weeks prior and your present report in question, tells me without doubt that, you have descended into the local political arena of conflict and taken sides opposite to me.

6. You must never be trusted again as an independent and neutral supra-national financial institution.

7. As for our gold, ‘forgerrit’. We will no longer sell It to you. You can continue to fabricate & skew our country reports with a huge anti Ndc slant.

I have just been engaged by a Former Ghanaian military officer currently serving in a foreign army. He told me that he has been following my work since last year about an Intel I posted a week before Ghanaian tomatoes traders were killed in Baukina Faso and asked me to share with him some of the important security matters I have raised that the nation has acted upon.

He said people like me are needed in security intelligence, but unfortunately, Ghanaian leaders are not getting it right, so I shouldn’t bother myself.

That statement has made me think deeply about one of Ghana’s biggest institutional problems: political patronage at the expense of competence.

Our politicians have become far too comfortable recruiting foot soldiers, loyalists and party activists while overlooking people with genuine expertise, critical thinking ability and the capacity to identify threats before they become crises.

This is not just bad politics. When competence is sacrificed for loyalty in institutions responsible for national security, the consequences can be dangerous.

A country cannot strengthen its intelligence and security architecture by rewarding political loyalty while ignoring capable minds who are willing to think independently, raise uncomfortable questions and sound the alarm when something is wrong.

National security should never be a reward for party loyalty. It should be built around competence, integrity, patriotism, professionalism and the ability to protect the national interest without fear or favour.

My concern has never been about recognition or political appointment. I raise issues because I believe some of them have implications for Ghana’s national security.

Perhaps the people who need to be paying attention are finally watching.
