Nikita Bier: optimize for the 'aha' moment.
"If you can't demonstrate value in the first 3 seconds, it's over."
Modern users have very short attention spans. If your onboarding requires too many steps or asks for personal data (like an email) before showing the product's value, user retention plummets.
"How do we expose them to an aha moment as fast as possible, in a memorable and iconic way?"
Nikita's example: Dupe originally had a shopping app with a bunch of features including one called Deal Hop which let users put in a product page and it’d help find the cheapest alternative online. They tried getting a very short domain (”dupe”) then created the ability for users to paste any existing URL on top of Dupe's URL and it’d immediately find cheaper alternatives.
Result: millions in ARR in under 60 days of launching. It was a blowout success.
Attention is a miracle. Don’t waste it. Consider every tap by a user on a mobile device. Cut features, improve speed, and be creative in using APIs and tools.

In UX design, speed is a multiplier.
AI tools can get you to a polished interface faster than ever. But polished is not the same as aligned. If the proper design thinking has not been done first, you have quickly arrived at the wrong outcome.

The problem with most risk dashboards isn't the data, it's the design.
Start with the workflow. Build the right KRIs. Design for exploration, not just display.

Most product teams don't have a user research problem. They have an activation problem. Research gets done. Then it sits in a folder. What if it didn't? What if there was a way to get teams to use and listen to user research? Full article in the comments 👇#ProductDesign

Features are not products. Adding a chat assistant or a recommendation widget without a cohesive system leads to fragmented experiences and low adoption. Stop building UI ornaments. #ProductStrategy#DrSeunOgunmola
Design for the middle ground and you satisfy no one. Beginners feel lost. Experts feel constrained. Your platform helps neither.
The fix? Progressive disclosure that adapts to the user.

AI answers in seconds. Fact-checking takes longer. Trust? Already gone. Your users haven't gained productivity, they've just traded dashboard fatigue for verification debt. Article in comments 👇
