We really need to stop glorifying the idea of "smile no matter what happens".
Highly dismissive for people who are trying to heal by grieving. Hiding behind a smile is painful af and culturing it is downright abusive.
Daughters are no longer raised to be wives. They're raised to be people. And some people are really not okay with that. They're not being taught to sacrifice themselves for the comfort of others. Not being told that marriage is the finish line. Not being conditioned to make themselves smaller to be loved. They're being raised to earn their own money, choose their own timing, live alone if they need to, and not apologise for wanting more. They're building lives where love is welcome but not begged for. They're questioning things their mothers had to silently accept. They're choosing healing, not just habits. And for people who are used to obedience, that kind of freedom looks like defiance.
In case you're s*ut shaming and victim blaming, don't ever do it with the kind of intellectual depth that only rests upon lusting over famous men on social media.
Australia passed a law yesterday that no child under 16 can have a social media account. The day it passed, it deleted every single child account across multiple social media apps.
Well done, Australia! 👏🏾
A little plot idea from here, a little from there, copying iconic dialogues, symbols, bad writing, no real issue talked about, over romanticizing shallow characters. Is there one thing that Jenny Han produced out of her own head for TSITP?
Not really a people hater but if you're insecure about your skin colour, you're a sh*tty ahh person. You're one of the reasons humanity is going backwards. Most of the hottest people I know are dark and confident and do not hate the very thing for which people have been striving.
Ffs everything that looks pretty needs to stop being called Korean. Koreans did not invent plaid designs and flower themed earrings. It's an extension of the west's racist culture that would applaud and acknowledge anything that is white.
Can the football fandom please disown all men who glorify statements like "bro cheated on his girlfriend but not his club"? As a football fan myself, it is sorry to see how scary and abusive some of these men and their entire mindset can be.
