Palantir's CEO just exposed Sam Altman and Dario Amodei for robbing every Fortune 500 company.
Within two minutes, Alex Karp took the entire frontier AI industry apart on national television.
His exact words:
"Every single enterprise in this country, these people are LIVID. They are paying for tokens that create no value. These people are stealing the weights and alpha of my business."
He literally said the entire frontier AI business model is intellectual property extraction dressed up as a subscription.
Then he also destroyed the pricing model with a single question that Silicon Valley still refuses to answer:
"If it was so valuable, let's say I can make you $1 billion tomorrow. Wouldn't I say I'll make you $1 billion and I want 30 percent? Why are they charging for tokens if it's so valuable?"
That question breaks the industry.
If OpenAI and Anthropic's models truly delivered the productivity gains the labs claim, they would take equity or a share of the profit they generate. They would not sell access by the million tokens.
Token pricing is itself the CONFESSION that the product cannot produce reliable value at scale. If it did, they would price for the value. But they price for the compute because that is what they are actually selling.
Karp went even further...
He called the entire arrangement "a wealth tax that does not help the poor. It just punishes."
American businesses are transferring the alpha of their operations, meaning the workflows, the customer data, the strategy memos, the internal models that make them competitive, directly into the training pipelines of a handful of Silicon Valley labs. Once those labs retrain, the customer's own edge becomes the next enterprise product sold back to their competitors.
And the part the AI industry does not want anyone thinking about:
Every enterprise running its confidential documents, its customer conversations, and its financial models through a frontier model is potentially teaching that model HOW to replace them.
The vendor collects the token fee AND the compounding intelligence about that customer's business. That is the mechanism. And that is why Karp used the word "stealing."
He claims this is why every executive he meets is furious in private and silent in public. Nobody wants to be the CEO who called out the labs and then discovered their next competitor was built on their own leaked workflows.
The entire AI industry has been priced for perfection on one assumption:
That frontier labs produce durable, defensible value that justifies infinite compute spend.
But Karp just told us that the customers do not believe that assumption anymore. They believe they are being taxed without benefit, watched without consent, and copied without recourse.
The moment enterprises stop believing, the whole valuation stack shakes.

Elon Musk just named it. Starmind. One million AI satellites, each a flying data center wider than a 747, cooled by panels that glow their heat into the void.
This is not Starlink. Starlink moves internet. Starmind moves thought. Each satellite, the AI1, carries 150 kilowatts of compute on a 70-meter span of solar cells, runs the model on board, and beams the answer down. No building, no grid, no water.
The reason is in SpaceX's own IPO filing. The AI market it values at 26.5 trillion dollars hits a wall of electricity and water that Earth cannot supply at a sane price. Orbit erases both. The sun never sets up there, and a 147-year-old law does the cooling: in a vacuum, heat escapes only as infrared, so a panel facing the 3-kelvin void radiates it straight out, no water touched. Run that panel hotter and it sheds heat 16 times faster for double the temperature. What Earth data centers burn rivers to do, a glowing wing does for nothing.
Musk flagged the problem himself, in the same filing. SpaceX cannot get enough chips to build this yet, and the fab meant to fix that, Terafab, ten times the size of Tesla's Austin gigafactory, may fail. The prototypes do not fly until 2027. Astronomers are already in revolt over a million new lights crossing the sky.
Days ago, Masayoshi Son, who owns the whole AI stack on the ground, called space data centers pointless. Musk just named his and put a million of them on the drawing board. One man is reading his balance sheet. The other is betting on the laws of physics.
The piece works out which one the void rewards.

Scam Altman and Greg Stockman stole a charity. Full stop.
Greg got tens of billions of stock for himself and Scam got dozens of OpenAI side deals with a piece of the action for himself, Y Combinator style. After this lawsuit, Scam will also be awarded tens of billions in stock directly.
The fundamental question is simply this:
Do you want to set legal precedent in the United States that it is ok to loot a charity? If so, you undermine all charitable giving in the United States forever.
I could have started OpenAI as a for-profit corporation. Instead, I started it, funded it, recruited critical talent and taught them everything I know about how to make a startup successful FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD.
Then they stole the charity.
@berkbuilds It’s generally seen as one of the hardest tasks in a home environment. Building high-DoF robotic hands (which apparently is very hard. tesla still couldn’t release a working one since years) and things like getting AI to understand how fabric behaves are parts of it.
The guy who helped build React, the most popular workaround for the browser's layout engine, just said the workaround isn't sufficient and built the replacement himself.
Cheng Lou's resume is the context that makes this announcement hit different. He worked on React at Facebook. Created ReasonML and ReScript. Built Messenger's frontend. Now runs Midjourney's entire UI stack on Bun. Every single role was a fight against the same enemy: the browser's rendering pipeline.
Here's why this matters beyond the engineering flex. The web was built to render documents. Static HTML, flowing text, pages you scroll through. CSS layout was designed for that world. Then we started building applications inside the document renderer: spreadsheets, design tools, messaging apps, AI chat interfaces. Every one of those applications has to ask the browser permission to know how big text is. That question triggers reflow. Reflow locks the main thread. At 60fps you get 16 milliseconds per frame. Spend those milliseconds on layout recalculation and the user sees jank.
The industry's answer for the last decade has been to work around the problem. Virtual DOM (React) batches the writes. CSS containment limits the blast radius. content-visibility skips offscreen layout. FastDOM separates reads from writes. Every solution accepts that the browser owns text measurement and tries to call it less often.
Cheng Lou's answer: stop calling it at all. Measure text in pure TypeScript. Skip the DOM. Skip CSS. Skip reflow entirely. Zero layout passes. The performance improvement, per his demo, is categorical. 0.05ms versus 30ms. Zero reflows versus five hundred.
The person who understands the browser rendering pipeline better than almost anyone alive just built the tool that makes part of it unnecessary. That tells you where application-grade UI is heading.
While everyone’s busy trying to put AI agent NPCs into an RTS, this project did the opposite. It puts an RTS UI on top of an AI agent workflow.
