@michellegolden Your point is well taken, but misses the essential element, I believe. You can't just abandon the billable hour and raise prices. You first need to provide differentiated services that can justify elevated fee structures and that means less ccmpliance and more advisory work.

@cordes_tax If you double your fee for your lower tier clients, and justify that increase using the same message around capacity, you'll lose about half of them through self-selection. The other half of your D clients will continue with you. Half at twice the fee is the same total revenue.
