Urgent Refund Request - Unsuitable & Unsafe Car Seat for Newborn

I recently rented a car with a newborn car seat from your San Francisco airport location. Unfortunately, the infant car seat I rented with the car has proved unsafe for my newborn son due to compatibility issues with our vehicle (Chevrolet Bolt EUV).

As advised by our paediatrician, the steep angle of the car's seats causes the infant car seat to be positioned incorrectly, posing a serious suffocation risk for my newborn.

Our paediatrician explained that the steep angle is dangerous for newborns because they cannot control their heads, flop forward and block their airways. I've attached photos for reference. You will see the safety guidance line on the side of the car seat, which needs to be level with the ground, is instead pointing upwards at the wrong angle. You’ll also see the car seat is installed low and tight per the instructions for the LATCH attachment system, and when you look at it, you can see the cause is the very steep angle of the Chevrolet’s seats.

To resolve this urgent safety issue, I immediately purchased a suitable replacement car seat. I kindly request:

(1) Full refund for the unsuitable car seat rental charge.

(2) Confirmation that I can return the unused Thrifty car seat to your Modesto location - I spoke with your local representative who was very helpful and looked for a car seat we could exchange with, but there were none.

Additionally, I'm willing to donate my brand-new car seat to Thrifty, as I won't be able to take it with me to Australia. I believe this offers a mutually beneficial solution.

I would greatly appreciate a swift resolution to ensure my newborn's safety during our 2-3 hour drive home via San Fran airport. Thanks for your help in getting this sorted out as quickly as possible.
