Nothing on the socials apart from the Boyes interview. No training pics with inspirational ‘back on it to pick ourselves up’ quotes, no pushes to sell out the Bristol Rovers game… just, nothing. No shirt pushes, player interviews, or updates on S/T collections.
Seems… odd.
I love York City FC and have done since ‘95 when I moved to the city. I’ve loved and loathed and mourned players and managers, but I’ve always kept the club, the CLUB, at the forefront of my mind.
That were shit.
Not Lindsey’s fault… yet. But that… that was awful.
@GabSutton@bet365 Superb on York! I think we’re all still a bit stunned by events, but I’m not gonna hate on Scott Lindsey and if we’re rocking after ten games then all might end up being rosy! Tenth in our first season back? Hell yeah! Take that!
On way to York! Ok, it’s early and I live in Selby but I’m off work, kiddo is with Nana, and it’s beer garden weather, so why not. The last week or so has been odd as a Yorkie, but gotta admit the buzz is back, can’t wait for the game, and here’s hoping it all works out! Please!
@_morgan_bruce Well done, mate! Would have done it myself but tore through my ankle a couple of months ago and only just now starting physio. It’s a great course, hope you enjoyed it!

I still don’t ‘get’ the Maynard departure, same as the rest of us… but whilst I’m utterly stunned by the last 48 hours, Lindsey has my support, as do the players. Spoke well, gets the immediate feeling of the club, I just hope he hits the ground running!
💬 "It has been a hard 24 hours for the supporters, and I completely understand that, but we are going to need them now..."

@yorxman@UgglaAnne29485 We ALL are. That statement isn’t enough and Matt Uggla’s posted some random philosophical quotes on Insta. This appointment has to be fast, and correct, or it’ll get very ugly fast! Dave Challinor is my shout.
Before the inevitable dissection of the situation, I just want to say a massive thank you to Stuart Maynard…
What he gave us last season was genuinely once in a lifetime
The best York City side I’ve ever seen and the best season I can remember
Whatever happens next, I’m incredibly grateful for everything he achieved
Thank you, Stuart…❤️💙

York City Football Club can confirm that Stuart Maynard will be leaving his role as First Team Manager, with immediate effect.
This has not been an easy decision, and it is not one the board has taken lightly. Ultimately, it comes down to a difference in direction and vision for the football club.
We recognise that, from the outside, this may look like a strange or difficult decision to understand. But we believe that in the long term, the football club will be in a stronger position because of it, another step towards the vision we, as custodians of this club, believe will deliver sustained success.
Like every one of you, we love this football club, and we would never make a decision we didn’t believe was in its best long-term interests. We hope our track record of improving year on year has earned us a degree of trust, and we understand that not everyone will agree with, or fully understand, this decision right away.
We would like to thank Stuart for his contribution to York City FC and wish him well for the future.
