How Big Will the Linea Airdrop Be? 🤔
Here’s what we expect!
🔹 @LineaBuild is a Non-VC Chain; Unlike VC-backed projects (Arbitrum, zkSync) that allocated 10%+ to airdrops, Linea has no VC backing. No reason to limit the airdrop to 10%! If Linea wants a strong, loyal community, should allocate at least 25% of its supply to the Genesis #airdrop.🪂🪂
🔹 Our Estimate:
👉 We assume 20% airdrop allocation as the best case (12% for LXP holders, 8% for LXP-L).
The worst case? Only 10% (5% LXP - 5% LXP-L) (Will the community leave #Linea? 😆)
👉 We also assume LXP-L distribution will be linear, so in this case, we are only focusing on LXP distribution.
. Total Token Supply : 10B
. LXP Supply : 2.6B
🅰️ Tier-Based Scenario (Balanced & Fair):
. Airdrop Allocation: 20% of total supply (12% LXP - 8% LXP-L)
. FDV: $1 - $5 billion
. LXP Price: $0.046 - $0.23
Distribution Model:
✅ Tier-based allocation with fair rewards for early & high contributors
✅ Minimum eligibility: 1,500 LXP (bot filtering)
✅ Multipliers for high-gas spenders ( Early users who paid significantly higher gas fees receive a multiplier on their rewards)
Note: There are different ways to structure tier-based distribution, but based on available data (before identifying 500K #Sybil wallets), here’s a reasonable breakdown:
📊 Users with Less Than 3,000 LXP
Proportion of Wallets: ~27%
Airdrop Share: ~37.5%
Token Share: 450M of 1.2B
📊 Users Between 3,000 - 6,000 LXP
Proportion of Wallets: ~11%
Airdrop Share: ~43.7%
Token Share: 524.4M of 1.2B
📊 Users with More Than 6,000 LXP
Proportion of Wallets: ~2%
Airdrop Share: ~18.8%
Token Share: 225.6M of 1.2B
Expected Impact:
✅ Stronger loyalty & long-term engagement
🅱️ Linear Scenario (Flat & Minimal)
. Airdrop Allocation: 20% of total supply (12% LXP - 8% LXP-L)
. FDV: $1 - $5 billion
. LXP Price: $0.046 - $0.23
Distribution Model:
❌ Equal allocation per LXP (no tiers, no multipliers)
❌ No gas fee adjustments for early users
Expected Impact:
❌ Lower loyalty compared to tier-based
❌ Higher sell pressure at launch
🎯 Final Takeaway
✅ Linear Model favors small LXP holders, giving everyone equal tokens per LXP.
✅ Tier-Based Model favors high-LXP holders, rewarding them with multipliers.
✅ Smaller wallets get more in Linear, while larger wallets get significantly more in Tier-Based.
✅ Removing Sybil wallets increases the allocation for real users.
📌 Refer to the table for more details!
With Linea’s Non-VC approach, a 20% airdrop allocation seems fair, balancing rewards and sustainability.
At $3B FDV, LXP could be valued at $0.138
At $5B FDV, LXP could be valued at $0.23
Do you think Linea will go big like @HyperliquidX or take a conservative route? 🚀🔥
