I can give the exact same plot summary for both of these books, but one feels more like a warning and the other like a reminder.
Both are incredibly helpful for understanding the age in which we live.
Your problem is believing them when they said the cancelled the movie because "it wouldn't speak to boys."
Disney and western media don't give a shit about boys. They used them as a scapegoat and people ate it up because it confirms their delusion that media is male centered.
@HariSel57511397 Yeah its a creative concept. Imagine if a dark future scenario where they have to stop the hero from defeating a final boss who's a terrorist or dictator who daily takes innocent lives to appeal to his cruelty.
I watched it. My sanity was slipping, and I needed something original. There are two reads of the story:
1. The hero’s journey is a lie and will destroy everyone you love—which is a REALLY dark take.
2. Living in fake, simulated hero’s journeys is a destructive trap.
Hi! I'm opening commissions to pay some medical bills and get my daughter a couple inhalers she needs.
Goal is $800! any extra after that would help making it easy to keep producing more art

@GR1FF1NONE@BriskittyThe3rd oh wow yeah the Khmer Rouge was hell on earth. There was even a moment where an american socialist went over to promote pol pot and his work. Pol pot shot him dead.
Has there been a major kids film in the last decade where the message was to better *yourself* instead of "there's nothing wrong with you. Everyone else is wrong."
@fandompulse "Queer Icon" Dated Jimmy Olsen and then ended up with a biological version of Brainiac (Brainiac 5) in most fiction. Rarely got along with women, and mostly hung out with Tim Drake. Even in the Bruce Timm versions she scoffed at the idea of being linked romantically to batgirl.
I love how Space king is geniuenly the PERFECT parody of Warhammer while maintaining its own distinct identity
Masterpiece of modern satire on the same level as Smiling Friends
