@techNmak I think it's a bit harsh to say almost no engineers understand Bayes Theorem. This was a core component of my course. It also underpins Gaussian Processes and black box optimisation.
@deesnider Dee, it was a post of yours a few years ago that made me check out UFO properly. I grew up in 70's and 80's, loved all the music from those decades, (including TS as well of course). I cannot understand how I did not get into them in a big way. Thanks for the steer!!
@IAPonomarenko There is stupid, then there is this. But then, being called stupid clearly hasn't stopped you from saying shit like this. Irony is you are using technology that exists because of the science you are denying.
@Grady_Booch Can we be certain that there is no malicious code in the training data set on which Claude was trained? Waiting to be triggered by a prompt and injected into production code?
@Grady_Booch I have a different take on this after spending some time playing with Spec-Kit and SDD. I see potential for AI to really augment software engineering. Suddenly the effort to be a disciplined software engineer is easier. We can spend more time focussing on the requirements.
@Grady_Booch After 30 years of development, I now have a product management role. I am regularly surprised at both the ignorance of these concepts, and the dismissal of these ideas as irrelevant by the engineering teams that build the products I manage.
@TheAnfieldWrap Suspect the contracts are heavily associated with winning the Premier League and Champions League. Those two outcomes have significant financial impact.
