It’s ridiculous really. Sad truth of what college baseball and sports have become. Coaches are like agents in the portal now rebuilding every singe year. It’s not sustainable.
This is absolutely nuts
Baseball Transfer Portal Day 1 Recap
1,400 players enter including almost 700 pitchers
That’s a whole conference of players. A lot of these kids will never play again.
@JermaineCurtis Agreed. My husband coached for him 2010-2015, Coach Savage is a work horse & set the standard giving my husband an amazing work ethic in his coaching career to this day. He taught him how to recruit in his first years as a paid asst & recruiting coordinator. No one better 👏🏽⚾️💙

“I’m 159 days into reading the Bible… I just wanna encourage people to join a church, get in a group study, & get in The Word”

Omaha Bound
Wonder what their baseball budget, coaching salaries and NIL allotment look like compared to the P5's.
Incredible by Dan Skirka, his staff and players.
Our trust can’t be tied to whether or not a circumstance or another person changes. Our trust must be tied to the unchanging promises of God. We hope for the good we know God will ultimately bring from our situation, whether the good matches our desires or not. And sometimes that takes a while. The process often requires us to be persevering and patient.
Trust in God is often forged in the crucible of longsuffering. God isn’t picking on me. God is picking me to personally live out one of His promises.
Even if we can’t see it, let’s choose to believe it.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV)
Letting go is not easy. Letting go of unmet expectations, unrealized dreams, unfruitful pursuits, ungodly relationships, unmanageable schedules, unhelpful advice or unwanted addictions is often excruciatingly difficult. Yet, the reality is you can’t lay a hold of all God has for you if you keep holding on to things that are hindering you. Perhaps today is the day to let go of that so you can grab a hold of Him. It can feel really scary to let go, even when you know it’s not good for you. The truth is Jesus is with you. He will not let you down. What he has for you is better than what you’re hanging on to. You can trust him. God is light and in him there is no darkness. He will only ever do you good
You will experience much more peace in your life if you stop trying to figure things out that simply don’t make sense. You may never know why that person said what they said, did what they did, or didn’t do what they said they’d do. You may never get that apology, recognition, approval, acknowledgment, acceptance or esteem you deserve or desire. The person that ghosted, ignored or rejected you privately may be the very same person feigning love and acceptance of everyone else publicly. I know it feels personal and the pain visceral, but don’t allow the devil to get in your head and lie to you. This is about them —not you. God’s got you. He sees. He knows. He cares. Give it to Him and go to sleep.
If you want to fulfill your God given purpose, you’re going to have to learn to do a few things over and over again. You’re going to have to encourage yourself in the Lord. You’re going to have to speak to your soul and remind yourself who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ and what you can do in Christ. You’re going to have to take every thought captive to the knowledge of God. You’re going to have to set your mind on things above. You’re going to have to release bitterness, un-forgiveness and offenses. You’re going to have to fix your eyes on Jesus and avoid distractions and other attractions. No one else can do these things for you.
