Yesterday, I found out the Labour Party was smearing me to The Times. They insinuated that I was sexist and unfairly ascribing views to Sagal Abdi-Wali, Labour’s candidate for Holborn & St Pancras, because I have published factually accurate, hard-hitting investigations into her political record and associations.
This is the second time the Labour Party has smeared me because of my factually accurate reporting exposing and scrutinising Labour Party politicians and officials.
It is obvious to me why they’re doing it – because they’re scared that voters in Holborn & St Pancras will find out the truth about Sagal Abdi-Wali and vote accordingly.
And they’re right to be scared. There is overwhelming evidence that there are serious questions to be asked about Sagal’s history, her funding, her political record, her political affiliations, her own conduct during this campaign, and her campaign’s repeated attempts to smear both journalists and local Muslim community groups.
It seems to me that the only correct response is to set out everything we know about Sagal’s political history and record, which I do in a mega-thread below. The Labour Party would rather you not know this – so please share this widely everywhere you can, and particularly with voters in Holborn & St Pancras. They need to know who they are voting for.
One last thing: I have repeatedly put right of replies and questions to Sagal’s campaign. They have never – not once – responded to a right of reply I have sent prior to publication. They have never raised issues with factual accuracy or balance.
And this is a pattern – multiple journalists have now raised concerns that Sagal and her campaign have been dodging proper scrutiny. Considering how she has failed to respond to Camden residents experiencing serious housing problems, and those requesting expressions of solidarity with the people of Palestine, that’s perhaps not surprising.
Labour's candidate in Holborn & St Pancras "has served the community for over a decade as a volunteer and trustee for local charities". But @_TheLondoner struggled to find these charities and Labour wouldn't send a list.
Here's a fellow trustee from the one they found.
John Chapman from Poole was murdered by the Israeli military while working for World Central Kitchen.
The Government must secure justice for John and impose an arms embargo.
We must have no connection with a military that kills aid workers and denies any accountability.

Thames Water shareholders have extracted £7.2bn in dividends since privatisation whilst neglecting investment in infrastructure.
Billionaires and entrepeneurs focus on short term profits and not longer term strategic investment.
That is why Your Party backs public ownership.
Ok. This has gone too far.
What on earth is Sagal Abdi-Wali doing inviting this man to campaign with her? Why is she walking around with a politician whose friends and allies tried to destroy the lives of local residents and journalists in her constituency - to protect Reed and Morgan McSweeney and Keir Starmer. It is genuinely an outrage he is here.
Reed was an absolute central character in the Morgan McSweeney/Labour Together war on democracy that produced Starmer. He is implicated in so much wrongdoing I don't even know where to start.
Reed is a key character in The Fraud. He was a director of Labour Together from 2016 to 2022. During this period, Labour Together broke the law by failing to report donations as required by law.
They used this money to, among other things, purposefully undermine the electoral prospects of the Labour Party. They wanted to give the Tories five more years of corruption and austerity so that they could take over the Labour Party they believed belong to their tiny, regressive faction. The strategy document setting this out was literally printed out in Steve Reed's office and handed to insiders.
I exposed the dodgy money when I took documents to the Sunday Times, and then what they did with it in the Fraud. In response, Labour Together hired a reputation management firm called APCO Worldwide to investigate me and my colleagues.
They ended up producing a disgusting dossier filled with outright lies and falsehoods about me, my family, my colleague Andrew Feinstein, and other journalists like Gabriel Pogrund at the Times, who I worked with on the story. They found my home address, in Camden where Abdi-Wali is standing, and found out the name of my partner, and then tried to dig up dirt on her family. They did this while my partner pregnant.
Labour Together used this dossier to report me to the security services and then handed its despicable content to journalists. We now know that dossier was given to Morgan McSweeney and distributed at the very highest levels of the Labour Party and was even sent to the Cabinet Office. I had to threaten to sue the Guardian stuff defamation to stop them printing stories based on that less that would have destroyed my reputation and livelihood.
Almost exactly a year ago, Reed appeared at an event at Labour conference. The Fraud had not been published. Reed attacked me and the book, saying all sorts of things about my family, which were private. Was Reed quoting from this dossier? Maybe. We also know, for certain, that the Labour Party somehow got a PDF copy of my book as it was sent to print. How? I have no idea. Only a tiny number of people had access to it.
Why were they so scared of the book? Because it repeatedly laid bare the misconduct of Reed and his friends. One example? Files showed that Reed received emails criminally hacked from a local journalist in Croydon, who had been hacked to find his sources - who were blowing the whistle on the incompetence of Reed's allies on Croydon council who were driving it to bankruptcy.
In government, Reed did extraordinary damage in just two years. He first blocked moves towards nationalising water while at Defra. At Local Government and Housing he passed guidelines to allow mega property developers slash the number of affordable houses they must build in new developments. He passed new laws to stop local council's divesting from companies complicit in genocide - after promising the Board of Deputies in a meeting in 2020 that he would stop local governments exercising their power to boycott Israel.
The irony is that it was Labour Together's insane attack on journalists that ended Starmer. Josh Simons, who directed Labour Together when it appointed APCO, resigned this year after being managed out of Cabinet. That allowed Burnham to stand in Makerfield, then as leader - to the fury of Reed, the last Starmerite.
Now Sagal is claiming to bring hope again. Well in Camden she's just brought a scumbag to campaign.

I don’t understand @bbcquestiontime . High profile by election next week in London - and for your London audience, you have Labour, Conservative, Reform - but not @TheGreenParty 🤷♀️. Despite the fact the Greens are leading contenders. What a racket.

I strongly oppose the removal of the pensions triple-lock.
More than 2 million pensioners live in poverty. They will be the ones who suffer the most by taking away pension security.
We must protect the principle of universalism. That is why we opposed cuts to winter fuel - and that is why we must oppose any means-testing of the state pension.
This isn't about old versus young. This is about the super-rich versus the rest. That's why we should be taxing wealth to fund social care for all.
Please get involved in getting @ZackPolanski elected in Holborn & St.Pancras. It’s going to be close. We need every possible volunteer to beat the Labour machine which is spending a fortune on targeted social media ads. The path to victory is knocking on doors, telling people about the real hope that Zack brings rather than the business-as-usual Labour candidate, & getting the vote out. Let’s defeat Labour in Keir Starmer’s home seat.
Amazing that Labour thinks that people should vote for its candidate Sagal Abdi-Wali because of her and Camden's record on housing.
Dan Bruce is one of a number of leaseholders living a nightmare at 53 Agar Grove in Camden. He bought a new-build in 2018 that started to fall apart almost as soon as he moved in. His horrific story has been covered by the BBC, New Statesman and other outlets.
Sir Keir Starmer initially offered to help - but then disappeared when he became Prime Minister after trying to score some points in Parliament.
Dan wrote repeatedly to Sagal Abdi-Wali in 2025 asking for help. She was a Cabinet Minister in charge of housing and then head of the Council.
Sagal Abdi-Wali didn't respond to a single email. Not once.
He's hoping the threat of political change in a constituency that has always voted Labour might sharpen minds.
Can't say he's wrong.
Hard to get any worse than the way he's been treated by Starmer and Abdi-Wali.
The BBC gave this Monaco based tax exile free airtime to talk about how great the empire was, how immigration is out of control, how rich people are taxed too much, why we need to make cuts and need more fossil fuels.
Soft interview, no push back, no alternative voice. He's not a politician, not elected, he represents nothing other than his offshore bank account.
I don't care if you like Vigil and Strictly, other channels can produce these. The only thing truly unique about the BBC is its news. And that news operation is a toxic cancer poisoning the national conversation.
Get this BBC in the bin, use its its money to create a genuine public service broadcaster that isn't the mouthpiece of the billionaires.

Camden Labour is the ground-zero of Starmerism.
This is Awale Olad.
He was a Labour Councillor for fifteen years. He refused to stand for the Party in the 2026 local elections. He was exhausted explaining the failures of Camden to deal with housing problems and because Camden Labour councillors had refused to speak out about Gaza.
This is what he said:
"In the face of the tragic events unfolding in Gaza, I alone stood up and spoke out against the horrifying situation. What we are witnessing is nothing short of devastating: an unrelenting onslaught by Israel against a small and beleaguered enclave.
“The sheer scale of suffering, with children being slaughtered daily, is appalling. What is perhaps even more shocking is that I was the sole voice in the chamber prepared to call this out for what it is. This is a moral failure we cannot ignore.”
Since 2022 the Chief Whip on the Labour Group has been Izzy Lenga. She is still Chief Whip. She is the Vice Chair of JLM, which is affiliated with a subsidiary of the World Zionist Organisation, whose "settlement division" was revealed by the BBC to be facilitating the building of illegal settlements in the West Bank. She was (in)famously photographed wearing an Israeli army uniform, draped in the Israeli flag and holding a rifle.
*This* what you get if you vote Labour in Holborn & St Pancras.
