OPEC Secretary General, HE Haitham Al Ghais, welcomed HE Fawaz Bourisly, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait and Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, to the OPEC Secretariat today.
During the visit, HE Al Ghais praised the country’s historic role as one of OPEC’s five Founding Members in 1960. He commended Kuwait’s enduring commitment to the landmark Declaration of Cooperation (DoC), which marks its tenth anniversary this year, and its participation in the Charter of Cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed the importance of dialogue, cooperation and unity among OPEC Member Countries and the non-OPEC countries participating in the DoC in their shared efforts to support global oil market stability.
