@craigmod@timbray@obra As someone who is also almost pathologically anti-film (soft spot for 6x6 though) I wonder if it’s about some form of “authenticity” to that group. An alternative to the hyper-real, and overly edit-able digital image, perhaps? Point and shoot film is hard to edit for the layman.
@craigmod The fact that there’s no real refresher when you renew your license–despite technology and complexity of cities changing, much less those little distraction machines constantly pinging–means so many people are ill-equipped to be operating those two ton machines.
@craigmod This is wonderful. Thank you for sharing this. Beats paying for an app that will probably steal my data, or at the very least force you into some cookie cutter templates. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
@craigmod @aalexdee A saved device option would be ideal.
Instead of doing the drag dance, you can batch select like you normally would then right click “Share > Airdrop” and that is a bit easier. Still not great tho
The joy of being a @craigmod Special Projects member is in getting to watch the crafting of amazing behind the scenes videos like this.

Enjoy a dose of book-making ASMR.
@craigmod Seems like a perfect weekly podcast, “uhhh wow science!” with two hosts who know very little about science but are extremely, comedically, unenthusiastic about the science they report to each other. “16 new life supporting planets discovered? Why only 16?! Do better science.”
@craigmod Reminds me of the work of former Austin resident Jessica Fontenot, who spent a year painting buildings in danger of gentrification. https://t.co/nYgp0K7GSb
In moving from Obsidian to FSNotes I somehow deleted several thousand notes from the past seven-ish years. After a half-hearted attempt to recover them, I mourned their loss and started fresh with a new note. https://t.co/QRmMaMaFCy
@craigmod It might be silly but if you really want to optimize the typing experience, I’d suggest a 40% board with low profile cherry switches. I use my 50% board all the time and just plug it in with a short usb c cable instead of the usual coiled one.
