I fully believe that I would not be here today if not for antidepressant meds but I also fully believe that the gym has been essential in keeping me as functional and mentally stable as I am now. Both/and
Working out whether it’s in the gym, running, swimming, etc is the absolute best antidepressant drug in the world.
There’s nothing like a good pump in the gym or a good runner’s high.
If you’re feeling down, get some quality 30 minutes of sunlight and a good 30-45 minute workout in.
I can almost guarantee your mood skyrockets.
