Sat next to two blokes at dinner tonight, clearly very well off and have done very well in the finance area of life… I listened as they spoke loudly of profit margins, growth, acquisitions, percentages, how AI will change recruitment, the next million pound property they’re buying in Santorini and even how the 18yr daughter wants to live in London so they’ll contribute £1.5k to the rent for return of a room when they need to visit…

When they got up and left the couple opposite us looked over and we did a collective ‘🙄’

Don’t get me wrong, I could all do with a little more £££ but there’s much more to life than money.

For the last couple of days, and indeed for the past 22 years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my life with a wonderful women and I feel i’m the richer of the three blokes this evening.

Love, family, place. Thank you Liz Broadbent for making me the richest man alive 😘 and happy 21x2 birthday.
