High turnover in schools often isn’t just about pay. Teachers and staff rarely leave jobs where they feel valued, supported, and treated as professionals. A positive culture of respect and appreciation makes all the difference.
I can honestly say that I had no idea just how much teachers do—or how much they sacrifice—until I became one. I never truly understood the long hours, the emotional weight, the relentless dedication, or the deep love that keeps us going, even when the world seems against us.
Education says teachers need to use differentiation but uses standardized tests to create a cookie cutter student. Districts tell teachers to be innovative and creative but use a standardized eval to create a cookie cutter teacher. It's so frustrating, and now I want a cookie!
