@BigMeanInternet @bienmaspreciado In part, but there are mobilizations and networks working via patrols and posting up on corners during times of high vulnerability. Still dependent on anticipating the possibility/eventuality of ice, but it’s proactive in the organization and networking.

@gary__tyr 4m felt way too soon, but turned out ok (same nanny as older kid so felt better). 9m/1y felt good for us. At the end of the day, the idea of not working and having them home would be amazing, but I also really appreciated the nanny share we were in with a handful of families.

@gary__tyr Yeah, it was tough for us, but also something that really helped us (by doing it). But also we look back at the 9 months for our first kids and, even though it was really hard for various reasons, how amazing it was.

I remember when there was a poetry reading at the (at the time) holdout where jclo (and others) were having a poetry ready. Joshua started, saying “p p p”, and the audience chuckled (in reference to pee). He joined in laughing, canceled that poem and moved on to another one

Jclo was such a generous and loving soul. Every encounter felt heartfelt.

After not having seen each other in who knows how long, I dm’d him Paris recs and he sent me to some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. And I know he’d be happy to hear that again.
