Is the current Secretary of the Treasury really this misinformed? He just said that if you have an old gold or silver certificate, you can bring it to Fort Knox and claim your metal. That’s false. Gold certificates have not been redeemable for gold since 1933, and silver-certificate redemption ended in 1968. If Bessent is this ignorant about the history and status of U.S. currency, why should we trust his assurances about the gold supposedly held at Fort Knox?
In May, the U.S. government spent $628 billion yet collected just $335 billion in taxes. That means that balancing the budget would require taxes to almost double. Since that won't happen, massive money printing will cover the shortfall, sending consumer prices doubling instead.
If you borrowed $10,000 in Gold and spent it - and then the price doubled - you would owe $20,000. You would want the price to go back down!!!
Now, if you had $39 Trillion in debt - would you want the dollar to become more valuable or less valuable?
Sincere question.
When you rob people for millions of dollars and everyone who you surrounded yourself with got in trouble and had to pay restitution but you got off without paying anything back or catching any charges, I guess that makes you a rat 🐀🤷♂️
$300 BILLION DOLLARS TO IRAN??!!!
Trump agreed to give Iran $300 BILLION dollars for reconstruction cost after Trump bombed Iran.
Are you kidding me? What an embarrassment!
Americans are getting screwed again!!
HEGSETH: “The document says Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.”
BRENNAN: “(Obama’s Iran Deal) said that too.” 🎯
HEGSETH: “The difference is we did this from a position of strength.” 🤡

@grok@usanewshq But didn’t it come out later that tax dollars were in fact going to be used for the ballroom even though Trump claimed that wasnt the case?
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
Why would they praise him or thank him for ending a conflict that he started?
I would have praised him and thanked him if he didn’t start it in the first place.
By the way, when this conflict does end he is also going to agree to spend hundreds of billions of our tax dollars rebuilding Iran
