@is__portal I personally liked her character in the movie. The only major gripes I have with it is that the movie could’ve been so much more but you can tell they had to edit it down a lot and also I’m reallly not a fan of the color pallet they went with. Also the end fight song, lol.

Like a decent amount of them yes but then you got your diehard MAGA’s who think immigrants ruined Destiny or something.
Hamaguchi takes tons of inspiration from western media. So yes it’s “pop culture baggage” but not in the way that disproves it being literal timelines. In fact it’s probably the opposite where it does elevate it instead.

His dialogue also references things that quite literally haven’t happened up to that point of time. I.e the Omni-slash showdown at the edge of creation where he says “not yet”. He literally wouldn’t know that otherwise.
