@hankgreen TBF, us Peruvians are getting ripped off by this. The "donation" is costing us around 7 million dollars, plus another 24 for shipping and handling. All for a train that we know to be "junk", for a stretch without rails, that's going to be bad for the environment. 1/2
Imane Khelif is trending again because a far right, transphobic website written by “journalist” who was previously fired for interviewing a neo-Nazi leader is claiming that they found her French medical files that got leaked with no additional proof.
Stop spreading this misinfo!
@adoraluzorel Totally agree with everything, except I'd add that Rio isn't really a villain in as much as a thunderstorm can be a villain. She's an antagonist. She oposes the main character, kot because she's evil, but because that's what she has to do. Death is just a natural thing. 1/2
@SouthpawLeftist@Subimaginati@JamesGunn Oh, my bad. I read that again. Yes. The only thing I'd disagree with is that I don't believe there's such a thing as "AI art". AI should help out with SOME jobs, but only in as much as it is automatization and processing, rather than decision making.
@SouthpawLeftist@Subimaginati@JamesGunn Here's the thing I believe you're missing: making art SHOULD take time. It's not art's fault that it is tiresome. It's our system's fault. It's having to work to survive and not to live fault. It's having to have 3 jobs to get by because unfair wages fault. Art takes time.
I, for one, think we should take this as evidence that all movies starring cis straight white dudes don't work, never work - and Hollywood should never greenlight another one for at least another decade. /s
Ecologist speaking calmly: if you pump groundwater from a drinking water aquifer for cooling data center shit and it evaporates, becomes a cloud, drifts away, and rains into the sea, you have in effect USED UP WATER. Begging everyone to learn the water cycle taught in 7th grade.
