BREAKING | NBC News: A long-time member of Hamas, Saleem Alzak, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Manhattan for raising over $1.75 million for the terror organization from charitable donations to Gaza from the US and elsewhere in violation of US sanctions.

@jakegonz73 @TonerousHyus Yes, we've gotta wait a few more weeks, but I think there's some Houston and Dallas precincts that will give us some early information

Hot take: this attitude is more detrimental to women's sport than a Sydney Sweeney gambling ad ever could be. A fan 2-3 rows off the court pointed at her and she thinks that's justification to go into the stands and approach him? That's insanity

[BruinEric @BruinEric]

@JustinWStapley Texans were upset with Cornyn for years, in part because of his Gun Control maneuver and then flirtation with amnesties of various kinds

And now he's 74 and the AG who moved Conservative policies forward got Trump's endorsement

Kind of a simple answer

Starting today, LA County ties for the highest baseline county sales tax rate in the entire United States at 10.25%. Lancaster and Palmdale, where many of my friends and people I know already struggle to make ends meet, sales tax is now 11.75% - the highest in the state.

I still just don’t understand how we keep voting to continuously give more & more money to our local government while services continue to get worse, our politicians continue to give more of our money to their friends, and fraud goes unchecked.

How does this actually help everyday Angelenos who have both mom and dad working and sometimes it’s not even enough to support their families?

This is not helping our kids. It’s not making schools better. It’s not making roads better or helping with public transit. It’s not making us safer. It’s not making housing more affordable, or food, or gas or utilities. Why do we keep voting for more and more tax increases and worse and worse politicians?

@jimgeraghty For an example of petulant and childish acts after a loss, look no further than John Cornyn

[BruinEric @BruinEric]

@Brian_Kurz_FL @eugyppius1 I think these may be adblocker or filter reactions.

[Joel Pollak @joelpollak]

Sales tax hits 10.25% today in LA County. You can thank ... the voters, who passed a tax on themselves. Voters in SF and SD turned down tax hikes, and LA voters were set to do the same, until the same odd ballot surge that put Nithya Raman over the top also approved the tax hike.

I don’t know how anyone can keep seeing these stories and not realize how the current environment, including a lot of the conspiratorial rhetoric from the far-left and alt-right, is encouraging political violence.

[james hawkins @james406]

guys, hear me out, the new Siri is actually incredible

i asked it to book me a flight to SF and guarantee an empty row to myself

it took 30 seconds to parse my response and said "Sorry, I didn't quite catch that." then when i tried again it told me it wasn't able to set reminders

Apple cooked with this one 🔥

@LoneStar_PAC @realmitchlittle Can’t wait to see what you’ve got for October

@TonerousHyus @Mitchapalooza80 Why stop at double? 10x!

Last week we had a break-in at a homeowners house in the community over from us. Guy came in, homeowner told him to stop (it's on the recordings in his home), the guy attempted to attack the armed homeowner.

Dude is now dead. Permanently. Prosecutor said today they will not pursue charges. And the local judges told the family "don't even think about suing. The guy broke into his house. He deserved to die"

THAT my friends is how you do shit in a small town.

@TomBevanRCP His verbal communication skills and physical appeal are below that of Talarico, any contrast on stage is going to look bad for him

So its smart campaigning at this point

[BruinEric @BruinEric]

@CarStan1114 And then as soon as you need to do something with medical records you need to find a fax machine

austin wealth is fascinating because the guy sitting next to you in shorts and a hat at matt’s el rancho could either be unemployed or worth $400 million

there is absolutely no way to know

Why is anyone doing anything but making fun of @ Cernovich, yes I can't @ him, you know why, and it was during the run up to 2020 when he once again lost his mind.

1.9 million homes 30+ days late. Another ~280k already in foreclosure.

Call it 2.2 million.
Early 2007 — before the crash talk — we were at 1.3–1.4 million delinquent.

We’re already ahead of pre-crash.
It didn’t explode in ’08 and stop. Peak was 2010. Almost 5 million past due or in foreclosure. Took 3–4 years from the first numbers to the top.

How many years did it take mainstream media to finally say we were in a real estate crash? After the damage was already done.

“It’s a low percentage” is the cope.

The raw number is the number. And the “rates will come down and everyone will be fine” crowd is dreaming.

Rates aren’t dropping anytime soon — and even if they did, that doesn’t magically catch up people already behind or the ones about to fall behind in this economy.

Lower rates might juice sales. They don’t erase arrears. The data already passed 2007. Act like it.

@proamericapol He only publicly supports chemical castration for minors - not surgical

That's the reality behind his spin about his position that moderates are supposed to swallow
