I have been thoroughly convinced that gender identity ideology is a result of feminists throwing down their aprons and Simone de Beauvoir writing in 1949 that, "One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman."

My opinion, formed from years of writing about criminal cases involving male fetishism, is that neither academics nor those who solely criticize academia are very helpful in the gender identity debate.

I would encourage people to stop outsourcing their opinions to academics.

This is a social problem that requires social solutions. This is the saturation of fetishism seeping into major institutions - from academia, yes, but mainly from pornography, which is now impacting the judicial system in observable ways.

We can't theorize our way out. It's important to use plain language to articulate what is happening.

And what is happening, in my view, is that sexual fetishism has been transformed into an identity via a belief system that leverages women and children to justify it, while seriously harming both, to benefit, and rationalize, some men who are deeply unwell.
