💬 Thank you to all who brought moral clarity & strategic vision.
The #FlotillaSummud has already faced harassment from Israeli warships. This is not security but intimidation.
As leaders debate, ordinary people take risks that should never have been necessary.
We stand with the brave women and men.

4. Humanitarian ecosystems must adapt; rigid systems often fail communities they serve.
5. Human rights double standards persist, with little accountability.
6. There must be consequences for veto abuse & violations of international law.

I briefed the SC yesterday on the alarming situation in Lebanon that has put civilians & our peacekeepers at serious risk. I commend our brave peacekeepers who continue to remain in positions. All parties must ensure their safety & security.
This is an extremely dangerous development. It is unacceptable to compromise the safety of UN peacekeepers carrying out their Security Council-mandated tasks.
UNIFIL urgently reminds all actors of their obligations to protect UN personnel and property.
UNIFIL is deeply concerned by recent activities by the IDF immediately adjacent to the Mission’s position 6-52, southeast of Marun ar Ras (Sector West), inside Lebanese territory.
The IDF has been repeatedly informed of this ongoing situation through regular channels.
We need strong partnerships to protect people who are preyed upon by traffickers & smugglers.
Pleased to sign a new partnership agreement with @IOMChief today to expand our collaboration & global efforts to tackle migrant smuggling & human trafficking.

@UNReliefChief@antonioguterres@UNOCHA One of the few brave UN leaders left around (especially on the unacceptable violent treatment of innocent Gaza boys and girls to leave). I am sad. Many blessings to USG Griffiths. I think he owes me a coffee though😎
#DRCongo is experiencing the worst floods in decades, with over 98,000 homes destroyed and 2.1 million people affected.
I have allocated US$6 million from @UNCERF to support 395,600 people in the hardest-hit areas.

I’ve always helped the #victims of #war. Why am I shunned for helping people in hashtag Gaza?
